Rooted in Where We Come From
The name Albion honours the history of Stellarton, once known as Albion Mines, and the generations whose work helped shape this community. Albion Grassroots draws inspiration from that heritage—hard work, resilience and pride of place—while carrying those values forward through a business built right here in Pictou County.
The Samson at Albion Mines, Pictou County — one of Canada’s earliest steam locomotives.
Historic Albion Mines — a small, yet prominent place that would become present-day Stellarton.
Coal mining shaped generations of life, work, perseverance and community across Pictou County.
